Quick Intro – My name is Tapiwa Gachala, I’m from Botswana and live in the capital city, Gaborone. I just turned 25! (yay me!) And decided to finally go for something I have been wanting to do for over a year now which is start up this blog! I’ve told myself there’s no space for procrastinating in 2018! So here we go!!!!
I’ve been growing my natural hair for over four years now (did the big chop in October 2013) and listen I am IN LOVE (obsessed even) with my hair! I’m all for growing healthy hair and like many of us constantly in the pursuit of reaching my annual length goals! And due to years of binging on natural hair blogs, articles, YouTube videos etc. I have personally awarded myself an imaginary degree in Natural Hair Care because wow I’m quite knowledgeable in that department hey! *toots horn* lol – I’m now gunning for Guru status!
MAIN REASON FOR STARTING THIS BLOG
I get a lot of DMs on my Instagram and inboxes asking various questions about my hair, my regimen, the products I use and just generally for advise on natural hair care. I have been trying my hardest to address and answer each and every message I get but over the past months the messages have increased and naturally I’ve developed a backlog *sigh*! It’s frustrating because I really want to help everyone but I’ve come to the realization that I can only do so much and its become rather impractical! And so starting this blog was a no-brainer really!
WHAT TO EXPECT
I’ll be spilling literally all I know about natural haircare, tips and tricks and my fave products. I might go off tangent here and there to discuss whatever I feel I need to share in my life… but the main purpose of this blog is to share as much information on natural hair care especially for newbies who do not know where to start and need help to get them on the right path!
HOW I’LL BE DOING THIS
I’ll be starting from the very beginning and covering all the preliminary points you need to know when starting off your natural hair journey and then we will work our way up from there! The aim is to leave no stone un-turned! I’ll be putting my degree to work! lol!
one last thing –> HAIRITAGE BW
I’m the brand ambassador for Hairitage BW (2018), which is basically a movement dedicated to dismantling Eurocentric standards of beauty and seeks to encourage women to embrace their natural beauty and afrocentricity! Please like and follow their social media pages on Instagram and Facebook!
Welcome and hope you become a regular on my blog!
